Cosmonautis Collection

Ever since their orbital baptism of fire aboard the space station MIR in 1994, FORTIS watches have been part of the standard equipment of all cosmonauts. After 100,000 orbits around the earth and the longest stay in weightlessness of any watch, FORTIS embodies reliability in time and space. FORTIS has proved itself again and again like no other brand and is therefore a true pioneer and a specialist in the field of space travel. Alongside the Official Cosmonauts watches with solid steel bases and engraved missions, this year FORTIS is launching a new version which embodies the features of the first original.
Why does the Automatic Chronograph work in space?

First of all, the universe is not free of gravity, rather reaper as the attraction between the Earth and the ISS and the centrifugal force by the trajectory of each other, so apparently no longer forces prevail.

The imbalance can be moved by two effects: Gravity and Inertia. The physicist also speak of bulk (Inertia) and mass makers. Inertia and heavy mass are of identical amounts ago, but still remain two different properties. The gravity causes in a slow tilting of the watch that the rotor to fall. This effect is not in the ISS because, as described above, the forces cancel.
The inertia of the mass in orbit is not repealed, the acceleration and decleration needed to continue to be a force. When the clock by a rotation of the wrist is moved, then the rotor through the inertia also puts in rotation.
This happens on the ground, the only rotation by the gravity possibly prevented.
On the other hand, ISS may be rotated in any position to build so that the rotor works even better here.
