Spacematic Classic Reference: 623.10.41 The robust two-part 40 mm housing made of stainless steel has been equipped with anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire glass and a screw-on metal base that offers an impressive 10 bar of water resistance. The easy to read, black aviator-style face also has a three-hand configuration with a red second hand and a large bilingual date display at 3 o’clock. The large Arabic numerals, indices and hands are coated with a special white Super-Luminova that reflects in a light green in the dark. Price: R20'860
The triangle display at 3 o’clock shows the correct setup direction. The pair of dots flanking 12 o’clock are an homage to earlier FORTIS air travel designs. Just like the space programme itself, this proven design has continued to develop whilst always staying true to its original task. The FORTIS Spacematic Classic 623.10.41 first appeared in 2012, on the hundredth anniversary in a limited edition, of which only 2012 pieces were ever made.
